Sandra “Sandy” Hanson, DNP, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. After graduating from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. She worked as an acute care nurse in Oregon and Washington prior to moving to the primary care setting at Kaiser Permanente; at which time she decided to pursue education to become a primary care provider.
Sandy earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Portland. Dr. Hanson is nationally board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Sandy provides holistic, integrative, and compassionate care across the lifespan. She feels her most important role as a provider is listening and working collaboratively with her patients. This allows a suitable selection of tools and resources to help her patients achieve their health and wellness goals. As an advocate for her patients, Sandy supports using the most current evidence-based clinical practice to guide their care.
She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys all the Pacific Northwest has to offer including hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, and spending time with her family, pets, and friends.
